Branch Registration

Reservation of Branch Name

• Provide 5 company names in order of preference
• Photocopy of shareholder's ID
• Detailed scope of business activities
• Local contact address (address of preparatory office, if available)

Apply for Investment Approval

• Photocopy of certificate of the parent company
• Power of Attorney (POA) to appoint a Taiwan branch representative
• Power of Attorney (POA) to appoint a branch manager
• Registered address (Required for all official government correspondences)

Open Bank Account & Remit Working Capital

• Branch manager needs to go to bank in person to open bank accounts.
• Remit working capital specifically from the parent company.

*Note: The branch manager needs to go to bank to convert preparatory bank account to official bank account after establishment.

Working Capital Verification

• Provide remittance memo to CPA
• CPA verifies and issues remittance verification report

Business Registration

• Representative needs to go to the tax office to acknowledge being appointed by signing a document.
